@Anna. Triple Pelvic Osteotomy is one of the treatment options for hip dysplasia, a developmental disease of the hip joints most commonly seen in large and giant breed dogs. It is a procedure that is generally done on young dogs that are showing pain in the hips.

Hip dysplasia, when caused by genetic factors, is almost impossible to control. This condition can be possibly prevented if your dog is not exposed to certain risks.I am a regular visitor of caninehips.com. I recommend this site to those who loves their pets, especially dogs. Thank you.

Yeah Trevor, it is very sad to watch. My dog too had this problem some years back. But with the medications given by my veterinarian, she became good and felt happy.

My dog has hip dysplasia and I must say, it is very sad to watch. However, we did start a vitamin and supplement regimen and he has been on pain killers for a few months now and he is definitely picking up.

Thanks for the information!
